Skt. dhā́vati `run, stream' with lengthened grade has no correspondent in Greek, as ep. θείη (foll. Schulze Q. 277 for *θή(Ϝ)η) and θείειν have metr. lengthening, and the latter can stand for *θε(Ϝ)έμεν (cf. Chantraine Gramm. hom. 1, 102; 346; 492). - Uncertain remains the Germanic word for `dew', OHG tou m., OWNo. dǫgg, gen. dǫggwar, PGm. *dau(u̯)a-, -ō, IE *dhóu̯o-, -ā́ (would be Gr. *θό(Ϝ)ος, *θο(Ϝ)ή) Unclear also ἄδδεε ἐπείγου H.
